As someone who supports local as much as possible, I was happy to finally stop into this store. Having someone greet you as you enter is high on my list. From my receipt I found out this engaging young man is AJ. Even though this is an angler shop, happy they stock some quality Orvis and other apparel too. On this trip I bought, made in Vermont, merino wool socks, but I will be back. Please support local, it is what sustains our economy.
Check out the sale rack, Great deals on quality clothing! Very helpful, knowledgeable sales staff. Mens and womens clothing. I may have to explore fresh water fishing after visiting Anglers Lane.
Earlier this year I had booked a Jackson River float trip with Doug. When the weather did not cooperate he suggested that I might like a James River Smallmouth float. I can't say enough good things about this trip. Adam was my guide and he selected a beautiful section of the James.. I caught smallmouth all day long. Most were on fly, including some on the surface. In the sections which were not ideal for fly I switched to spinning. I even broke off a monster size fish. I highly recommend this trip and plan to return.
Jon and Adam are awesome and helped me with a new setup today. I’m new to fly fishing and they made it very easy getting everything I needed. Highly recommend this place for anyone new or experienced in fly fishing.
