contacted the enquiry line today in order to set up a payment plan with regards to a debt that I have incurred. This is the second occasion that I have contacted them seeking advice on paying a debt and both times have been met by a representative with absolute minimal customer service, compassion or understanding. Just to be clear, clamping a car and demanding a card payment to release it isn't illegal BUT does break Visa and Mastercard payment terminal rules. A payment terminal must NOT be used to collect payments made under duress or coercion. If this happens, you can contact your bank and ask for a chargeback. If everyone does a chargeback they could lose their ability to take card payments... such a shame!
