Warm and friendly people. The grounds are beautifully kept and pristine. The buildings are well maintained outside and immaculate indoors. And the food is delicious!
This ashram is a very special and messy microcosm of the outer world. Come here expecting to escape the mess/clinging to a certain experience, and you’ll be disappointed. Come open and ready to face exactly what you need to, including yourself, and you’ll be freed on many levels! advice to ashram management: please rework the volunteer system to be a more balanced energy exchange, especially so that volunteers have more time to enjoy programming and experience less burnout. The new yoga studio is awesome. The teachers are great. One of the best spots around. Even cooler for locals is that it's across the street from the ashram, now we can roll up, go practice in a beautiful studio, with a highly experienced teacher, and then be on our way. And the prices are unbeatable. $15 for a walk in. $65 for the month. Seriously it's the best value and quality with in 100 miles. A total gem!
