Although she is no longer practicing, I find it troubling Amy is left with only one review and it being a negative one. While she was practicing I saw Amy for 8 years. I first started seeing her when I was dealing with a sudden family murder. She took it on with grace and understanding. I continued to see her after that not only because of the deep care she provided but also because of her ability to recognize where I was at and what tools I needed to get through the hurdles I faced. I am a former client and can’t in good conscience recommend anyone take their struggling teen to Amy. When I was her client a situation came up that she felt ethically needed to be reported to police. She chose to go out of her way inform my mom of intimate details surrounding this. I was in a very abusive home situation at the time. The way Amy chose to handle that situation directly resulted in my mom’s abuse magnifying ten fold for the next 2 years until I was able to escape.
