Where is truth in advertising? Amscot does NOT cash all legitimate checks even with the paperwork they requested. In addition, the fee schedule for check cashing is misrepresented on the website, although, it seemed more like the clerk was making it up as he went along as it kept increasing. I only used Amscot in a pinch because my bank was closed. Not worth the hassle! I'll wait for my bank to open even over a holiday if necessary. I wouldn't recommend Amscot, at least for cashing third party checks unless it was an emergen... read more
