They told me that I was also hired then sent out a check and I went to cash it just to make sure that it wasn't a scam and the check was fake.
This is a fake check scam. Went through it a little bit just to see what the deal was. They say you’re hired same day of your “interview” (which is all through text btw) which isn’t uncommon but then they say they’ll send your offer letter later but want your address right then to send you a check to order your equipment. Don’t trust it!
I also was skeptical of how they got my address and said I will be getting a check. And when I asked my hours and days off they just said 40 hrs a week and flexible. So I had a feeling this maybe a scam too
