I just went to the Arco AM/PM right by the freeway in Ashland Oregon. The attendant took my card, pre-athorized it for 19.00 (must be the automatic pre-authorization amount), then appeared to be pumping gas. He returned my card, with no receipt, and told me it was 'nineteen even'. By the time i noticed that no gas had been put in my car, I was already going south on I-5 and miles from the next exit, meaning the process to go back and complain would cost 40 minutes.
