You had my 87yo Dad convinced he had to visit you for a hearing test. He got dressed up and wanted me to drive him to you. I don't know how you got his number but I stopped him. He said he "has to go to see a company called Amplifon". "Dad. That's a cold sales call and they just want to sell you things you don't need". So thanks for preying on the elderly. I wrote this because I saw an ad on TV and it always makes me angry.
While the individual audiologists are lovely, the company's model seems more about ripping off Medicare. Twice now i've been unable to book an appointment online as I have "qualified" for an upgrade. When the woman called she had no idea I was already a customer, had no idea about my ear health, could not explain what the extra half hour of tests involved, or why I needed them. I'd love to know how much of our hard earned tax payer dollars are being funnelled into this company for tests that were not even remotely necessary
Don't buy hearing aids that use the Amplifon App as it is next to useless. Crashes won't load changes settings by itself unpairs mid call better off not having it. Solution is downloaded phonak app from manufacturer works way better.
I would like to record a shout -out for Kate at South Yarra. She has provided excellent customer service to me and my hearing aids. Going well beyond what could be expected . Thanks Kate I really appreciate your help particularly over the past few weeks.over
