My husband and I did the Build an Adirondack Chair course on the weekend. We had an amazing time. We have little to no experience so very much beginners. Mark and Tim were excellent teachers. Clearly passionate about their craft and skills and very patient, calm and willing to share their expertise. Learning how to use tools that I never imagined I would touch was a highlight but safety was always paramount with both teachers without feeling like they were hovering over you but were right there when you needed them. I completed the “build-a-bench” workshop (6 x days of fun). I had a fantastic experience and have only great things to say about both the course and Among the Trees. Luke (course teacher) is extremely skill, patient, relaxed, funny and one of the best teachers I’ve ever had/witnessed. I will be back for future courses and also reclaimed timber supplies soon. Thanks guys. Keep doing what you’re doing!

I enrolled for the course “Making a Planter Box” as I was a total novice with using power tools. I found it to be a very satisfying experience: a well structured, nicely paced day workshop with a small group, useful tuition, one-on-one instruction and guidance with several power tools, a strong focus on personal safety and an end result of a planter box to be proud of and, more importantly, am comfortable using power drills.
