I was seeking respite care for a loved one for two weeks. I visited many homes in the GTA and was very disappointed with their offerings. One of the rooms offered was a storage room! It is north of the 401, across from the Pickering Town Centre, and about a 30 minutes walk to the lake if you look it up on Google maps. My parents are quite happy there, but everything costs extra and management never recommends the most cost effective service when there is a need to purchase, rent, or use an outsourced service. They forced my parents to switch pharmacies when they needed medication to be administered by a nurse. On average the employees are very good with my parents. It is definitely a for-profit business.
