I highly recommend considering a different care home if you are looking for a place for your grandparents or loved ones. Unfortunately, I had a very negative customer service experience at Amica Lions Gate. I initially arrived at this location because I was trying to visit friends who live at one of the Amica communities. I mistakenly went to the wrong Amica location, as there is another Amica only a couple of minutes away. ELEVATORS DO NOT WORK!! The elevators at Amica Lions Gate have been not working consistently for ONE YEAR. So, the residents that have been living in "dependant care" have had a significant negative impact on their quality of lives as they literally cannot get off their floors easily. (They have to somehow get to the other side of the building, and use those elevators. Most of the people living in "dependant care" are physically challenged which makes this option nearly impossible). If we could easily move our mum out of Ami... read more
My dad was here for a year and a half and he commented every time he spoke with me about how kind and caring the staff were. They were always cheerful dealing with him and are all amazing people. I always felt comforted knowing he was in such good hands.
