The online enrollment process was more complicated than I hoped but ultimately was fine. I had to come back to my application and it glitched and had to do it all over again after a phone call. I wish the card would easily add to my digital wallet while I wait on my physical card in the mail. Otherwise glad to be a new member I have been researching banks and Ameris is close to me and federally insured. I have been using online only banks and a physical location is always best.
I opened a Free Checking & Savings Account today. Laura was Excellent!! Helpful, friendly, & very efficient!! She explained everything to me! I also got a debit card activated immediately. I got temporary checks & set up mobile banking as well. Everyone was SO friendly & made me feel very comfortable!! I highly recommend the Woodstock Branch.
They are opened Monday- Friday but I came today on a Monday at 2:56 pm and no one was there. Today is 2/16/2026
So far so good. Like the Free Checking option. I just opened a new account two days ago, so if anything changes, I’ll make an adjustment to this review
