I just had to take a minute to give some well deserved praise to an outstanding employee at Ameris Bank Deerwood Park branch in Jacksonville, Florida. My elderly mother who is 84 and legally blind had an issue with an IRA rollover from another Bank. She was very stressed about this as can be expected. I started my application with a Mortgage Banker who spoke Spanish, thinking it would make things easier. What followed was a terrible experience with awful communication, complete indifference, and an unprofessional, judgmental attitude from the Mortgage Banker. When we reached out to the Mortgage Branch Manager, he only replied with a text message, offering no real solution to switch bankers.
