This is a horrible company that does not stand by their work. Flooded our basement by installing our sump pump wrong and then saying it wasn't their fault. Their service guy was in our sump room for 20 minutes and told us it was not installed correctly and they would make it right- but the next day said he was not in the room for 20 minutes fixing their mistake. We were told by the owner they were not going to do anything and to call our insurance company.
American Weathermakers is 2nd HVAC company I called on 02/27/2020. The 1st company already diagnosed the problem was the igniter, and beyond the repair because of the safety reason. Since they do not have the license in Kildeer area, they cannot give the quote to replace the unit. The main reason I called American Weathermakers was to get the quote and the second opinion, and the American phone representative did NOT tell me there is a diagnostic charge (if they did tell me on the phone, I would not schedule with them at all... read more
I needed a repair on a tankless water heater, i.e. no hot water. It took a week to get parts which seemed like a long time considering there’s expedited service. I was pleased with the work and the tech’s knowledge, but after receiving a paperless invoice emailed to me with only a total amount, I called the office and asked for a breakdown of parts & labor. Cared more about selling me new furnace than fixing existing furnace
Called American Weathermakers to troubleshoot a furnace that would not put out heat. Left a message after hours on 10/26. Did not hear back from them, so called again around lunch time on 10/27. Scheduled a service call for 10/28 for an $89 weekend service fee, which I agreed to. Tech came out as scheduled and troubleshot the furnace. He determined that the draft inducer motor needed to be replaced. He was knowledgeable and friendly.
