We were transported by cab #0744 from MSY and the driver was very rude. She stood around and did not assist placing our luggage in the van. Once in the car, while allowing passengers to cross the street exiting the airport, she stated where is all these colored folks going? What is going on here? Mind you she is colored herself. I wish I would have read other reviews before I used this cab service. I also got scammed by one of their drivers. This guy said the credit card machine was down and used Square on his phone. I saw that he overcharged me only after I had already paid and tipped him (in cash).
I didn't want to put a one star because he did get us there in a reasonable time, even though it was 3am and no traffic. I called, was told the $36 price (then texted saying he'd do it for a lower price) he dropped us off and then asked for the $36, got angry that I said he or the company texted me saying $25 and showed proof, he pretended to not know what I was talking about and act like the number he called me from wasn't his. As everyone else has stated, this cab company is trash. Never use them if you can avoid it. They don't use their meters and lie to you so you can pay way more for a drive that should/could/would be much cheaper if they used the meter like they are supposed to. This is why Uber/Lyft will continue to grow in areas like this. I have pictures of the cab number and the sign on the door that states they will use their meters at all time. Be prepared for this to be reported to the appropriate New Orleans authorities.
