I am coming sometime to this location and I came Sunday January 11 2026 to a regular walk in for a whole blood donation and they didn't want to assist me with out appointments like if we were in the pandemic

I have donated here 10 times! Mostly platelets. I have never had a bad experience. The staff have always been super nice and considerate, even when I have been deferred. They frequently check up on me when I am donating and ask if I need anything. I always get in super quick as well. I have never needed to wait more than 3 minutes before being checked out. Overall a super inviting and comfortable atmosphere.

I have never had a problem going here until yesterday…. I have eczema on my elbows, which is a cause of dry skin and she looked at my elbows and told me i can’t donate because was a rash when I’m prescribed medication for it by my dermatologist because it’s eczema. I have donated religiously because I’m O negative and I’m a hero for babies and every single time I’ve donated. I’ve had that on my elbows. My first time donating blood. Filled up tha rapidpass online as well. The staff did all the predonation checkup including bloodwork, just to later tell me that I didnt meet the eligibity criteria. Well they could have said that before all the checkup and blooddraw. And probably redcross should make donors aware of this when they finish the online rapidpass, so that they dont waste anyone's time. The 2 stars is for the lady who was kind enough to explain the whole process of blood donation and what it entailed.
