I came 3 minutes late. The door was locked. I knocked on the door and the nurse looked at me and completely ignored me, like I’m not a human being. It was cold and I stayed there for 5 minutes waving and waiting for her to acknowledge me! She could have waved or said something even behind the door. But ignoring me completely was just rude and disrespectful. Red cross will have the nerve to harass me every day to donate, and I receive this treatment? It’s just ridiculous. July 24 2024 drove from West Central ILLINOIS into St Louis for a Blood Drive... 🤔 can't remember her name... she was so comical and very kind about keeping me calming my nerves about getting back into donating blood after my move from Atlanta, Georgia to East Saint Louis, Missouri / West Central ILLINOIS area... she made LOL🤣LOL so hard... what wonderful experience with her!!! 2 stars for the initial interaction, but cant give more. Had some problems with my heartrate that werent the staff's fault; I was told that because I came early, i should sit in my car for a while and come back in when it was time. I followed this instruction, came back in, and then sat in the lobby area for half an hour with nothing said to me. I was seen by multiple staff, even locked eye contact on several occasions, but just kind of was ignored for the most part. One did acknowledge me briefly while tending to patients, ... read more
