Whale watching is a must-do! It was super active out there. Left from Sheepshead Bay. Seeing a whale was always on my bucket-list & now I can safely scratch that off my list after having seen many humpbacks. I’d definitely do this again! Exceeded my expectations. Crew was very laid back, too. From their log we saw: “7/26/26 10 WHALE DAY with Breaching, Lunging, even a FULL BODY LUNGE plus a Pod of Bottlenose Dolphin ~ Absolutely Fantastic!” The only thing is, I recommend people take some Dramamine or use a seasickness patch.... read more
Overall, I had a good experience and was lucky enough to see whales! I’d recommend this tour for families, couples, and solo travelers. A few helpful tips before you go: • Motion sickness: Even if you’ve never experienced it before, consider bringing or taking motion sickness medication. While the crew, boat, and seeing the whales was fantastic , sailing through extremely rough and choppy waters—most captains can anticipate such conditions—was less enjoyable. The boat roughly rocked side to side and pitched up and down as we encountered very rough waves. This made it unsafe for those sitting outside on the side benches and inside sitting in unsecured seats, causing many to slide around. Amazing experience! We saw a few whales and they were very close to the boat. We’ll do it again! It was also great meeting Kim 😊
Worth going for. It’s a long four hour cruise and the crew seemed more keen to spot than the crowd. Had some wonderful dolphin siting but missed the whales despite a desperate last moment attempt by the Captain.
