Mortgage Loan Officer's tone in the email was that she did not want to work with me on a prequalification. After the online application was submitted, I had to reach out again to her. When she replied it was a list of questions that all answers were already on the initial application. She finally gave me the figures, but let me know that I will not be approved most likely due to some late payments in 2018-19 and ... read more

Hometown Bank, now American National Bank...probably changing names because they screw customers over...be very careful putting you money into this bank. I have lost close to 35K now, it's not a bank that will protect your money. Any common criminal can get your account number, print some checks and sign it and they will clean your account out easily by going up to a third party cashing place or probably to the bank directly.
