AIT uses deceptive practices to lure students into signing up for courses promising jobs, and using federal student loan money to pay for classes. I signed up for the school in August 2015 and attended 2 weeks and recieved my permit. I had to pay $400 down to pay for permit and books. Tuition was to be covered by federal student loans and pell grant. I checked in with financial aid several times because something didn't feel right and I read reviews online that other students had issues with the school. All I heard for two weeks from financial aid was, everything is fine.

Two weeks into the program, I got notice to see financial aid. They told me my financial aid package fell through and ne

I can not disclose specifically information about an individual trainee without written permission from such trainee; althought I have included the school's refund policy as included on enrollment agreements WITHDRAWAL AFTER COMMENCEMENT OF CLASSES Commercial Truck Driver For a trainee who withdraws without providing notification to the training facility, the determination date is the date that the training facility becomes aware that the trainee ceased attendance, the date the trainee violates AIT policy which provides for termination, or within 30 days of the end of the period of enrollment, the academic year in which the trainee withdrew, or the education program from which the trainee withdrew, whichever is earlier. Awesome School
I enjoyed my instructors and classmates. I always felt welcome and the instructors would constantly take extra time to help those of us that needed extra help. They gave me a wonderful give of knowledge that I use now to support my family. My whole experience at AIT was wonderful!!!!!!

Horrible
I really wish this school would have been straight forward with its students. This school promised get get many of us into local driving jobs but every one was high presured into driving for one of the 3 companies ait works with. (Arrow- a flatbed outfit, Werner and Swift). Even if I wanted to work for these companies I advise anyone reading this to still not go here. My instructor was very poor teacher. Our driving training consisted of 4 hours of driving split between 3 students. Many times only 2 of us would get to drive and not even for a whole hour. Our chain smoking instuctor would take a cigarrete brake every half hour and we'd have to pull over and wait for him.
