American Honda Finance is not the easiest to deal with at all. I received a notice that my payment, which is 1. On autopay and has been the entire time and 2 just happens to be the last one, is past due. trading in my Honda to another dealership, I received the receipt of electronic payment from the dealership. 5 days later, Honda has not processed my payment, their customer services department was rude and disrespectful and absolutely no help in tracking down the payment after I provided them with dates, amounts and account information. I had a very disappointing experience with American Honda Finance. After requesting that extra payments be applied to principal only, the request was not implemented in a timely manner. Because the account was not updated to reflect this change, there was no clear indication that an additional monthly payment was required, which later resulted in an unexpected past-due status and late fees.
