Why does American Heritage encourage appointments for certain transactions and then makes people wait? I made an appointment the other day because I had a lot to do andwanted a quick visit. I arrived a few minutes early and told the person at the front desk my name, appointment time and the person I was scheduled to see. I could see her in her office. She was alone and not on the phone.
