TERRIBLE! Delivered us a USED bed. Nothing on time. – USED MATTRESS - The $1000 Stress-o-pedic mattress we bought was either a display model or a return under warranty. We had friends and family lay on it and they all exclaimed that there was a huge difference between the two sides and that there was a very noticeable body indentation on one side. The manager sent out a tech to look at the bed. He said it looked fine and I would have to call the manager. I said I already did and practically forced him to lay on the bed. When he did he agreed it was bad and said he’d get us a new one. He said he had to take the bed now, and he would order me a new one which I would have in 2-3 weeks. I said “no way” to not having a bed to sleep on so he left it.
NO ONE SPEAKS ENGLISH – except for the sales guys. Good luck after you hand over your cash. The manager, delivery guys, techs, everybody is Asian and they barely understand you. You realize this when they give you strange responses and promises that have nothing to do with what you are trying to tell them.
“IN STOCK” DRESSER NOT DELIVERED –We stressed the importance of early delivery because my husband was about to have surgery. We were promised it was in stock. They said they noticed it was broken when they went to load it on the truck so they didn’t bring it. Sure.
DELIVERY GUYS ASKED MY HUSBAND TO ASSEMBLE THE DRESSER BECAUSE THEY WERE IN A HURRY – Seriously.
HARDWARE ON DRESSER DIDN’T MATCH SET – After my husband screwed all the knobs on he turned around to look at the matching chest and saw the knobs were different. He called the store and they said they could order us new knobs, but we would have to wait for them to be delivered from over seas. After my husband threw a fit they took the knobs off of their display dresser and brought them over in an empty Gatorade bottle.
BOX CONTAINING DRESSER MIRROR COVERED IN BIRD POO – It must have been stored outside. There are at least 20 splats on it.
NO RESPONSE FROM CORPORATE - I emailed the corporate office a week ago. Nothing.
I am in disbelief that an experience could be THIS BAD. We spent a lot of money at American Furniture and will never return.
