It’s moving day! The thing I’m looking most forward to is picking up my sectional sofa from American Freight in Merrillville. Much better choices than Value City or Arron’s. And I was able to shop without a salesman breathing down my neck and still had every question and swerved.
We purchased a refrigerator from American Freight last weekend. We were interested in a particular model and they had 3 units in stock. All three were listed as open box - like new condition. When we got to the store, all three refrigerators had dents or scratches. We picked out the best one and made our purchase. After we got home, we noticed that there is a shelf missing in the freezer and two light bulbs were missing. If you value your time and money this is not the place to shop. I ordered a sectional couch it was promised to be delivered Sunday, August 1. It was not delivered. No one called me. I finally called location I purchased it out. To be told it would be delivered the very first delivery on Monday. Here we are approaching 7 PM and still no sectional. Nor have I received any calls. I called the faculty in St Paul MN again and spoke to a manager that was quite rude and no help
An isolated incidence or global corporate practice?? In February we ordered and paid ($1,162.16) for a Maytag dryer “Like New- Out of the Carton” to be delivered and installed. When the installation specialist from K&S Solutions delivered the dryer, they deemed it defective due to significant damage to the drum: They then unhooked the dryer, considered leaving it but chose to haul it away, all while verbally assuring a full refund since we didn’t take procession of this Maytag dryer AND it didn’t work! Went into this Sears outlet now called American freight - they still have all the same types of items as when they were Sears outlet and we bought a oven and microwave at a considerable discount from the new price even though the scratch’s were in a place you couldn’t see. One of the sales associates Alex helped us out with making our decision and had us in and out in no time. The items were ready for us to take home in minutes. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! DON"T WASTE YOUR TIME! I ordered a microwave to be delivered to me over 3 weeks ago. I then scheduled delivery on their website. After waiting two weeks I was informed they lost my shipment. Three days later the said they found it and scheduled another delivery. When the driver tried to deliver it was a washing machine NOT a microwave. Over a month later and I still don't have my purchase... 😡
This company is not what it seems! If you do a finance..you have 101 days to fully pay off! They may tell you six months no interest free which is totally false. The price you are paying for your choice of command without knowing the finance agreement you are paying double the price of your purchase!!! The price of my furniture was $799.99...exceeding the 101 days doubled the expense of the price of the furniture! Is this what you want?
