I had a really frustrating experience with America’s First Credit Union. Customer service was slow and unhelpful, and I felt like no one really knew how to handle my issue. I kept getting transferred between departments without any clear answers. On top of that, the fees weren’t clearly explained upfront, which was disappointing. Note their customer service line is the worse. Stay away from this place you're better off financing with a different bank. Definitely not the experience I was hoping for.
Year after year, they accept some checks and then other checks they just want to constantly decline. Year after year they are no freaking help. They say oh open a cash savings account you get money back or you be entered to win money. No the amount of money you get on $8000 is nothing compared to actually putting your money in a real cash savings account. I’m so done with American First. They recently did away with Free Checking outside of having a minimum balance. They're now no different than the big banks. Find another credit union.
