As an insurance agent, with an insureds policy in cancellation due to non-payment from AFR, I was unable to speak with a real person. I was transferred, asked to leave a message and 2 weeks later, no response. I have had other mortgage companies that are difficult to deal with, however, this is a horse of a different color. I am thankful for when AFR did respond to a few of the other reviews with an email address to discuss further concerns for another avenue of contact. Wish us luck!
Wish there were zero stars. They bought my loan then sold it. Common. I get it. But I sent my payment AS DIRECTED BY THEM--they didn't transfer it to the new company in a timely manner. so my first loan payment was late. Called them no less than 15x to try to talk to someone about when payment would be sent. Endless menu loop in which there is literally ZERO way to speak with a person. This is the worst company I have dealt with. They didn't forward my mortgage payment to the company that bought my loan, to the point of now where I'm receiving threats of foreclosure. Wouldnt be surprised if this company gets a Netflix documentary on something shady going on.
This company is awful. Bought and sold my home loan after 1 payment. They didn’t notify me after selling my loan and I had to track down who it was sold to after realizing I had missed a payment. Their customer service is terrible as well.
This is the worst company. After MULTIPLE requests from my home insurance company requesting payment from my escrow, they have not complied. My insurance ended up getting canceled. The insurance company offered to reinstate if AFR would pay. After several phones calls and agreeing to pay, it still didn't happen. Then they said they can't pay because it is an "interim" loan. So now my home isn't insured. I deposited money into my escrow so they could make the payment. They said I could make the payment and they would reimburs... read more
