No one at this local has the knowledge needed to be an elected official. Employees get no results because of the lack of knowledge. Don’t expect much from this local if you really need them. But they are good at lying to the members.
Disorganized soup sandwich... they make it sound like they are there to support members, yet can’t pull it off. Nice folks, just not good at what they do.

Whether you like unions or not, AFGE 987 is YOUR voice on the job. If the union isn’t saying what you want, then get involved. Come to meetings. If you don’t, YOU have failed yourself and your coworkers. There have been leaders at 987 I have agreed with and those that I don’t. But I still go to meetings every chance I get and speak up (probably to much sometimes) when I see problems. PLEASE help keep the union focused on our issues.
