I had a fraud charge on my debit card to a PayPal, that my bank stopped right away. I was refunded the money from my bank. 4 months later I got a collections letter for that amount from ACI. The guy on the phone from ACI was polite but this seems like one big scam.
My minor son received a letter saying he owed $151 on his Paypal credit card. He is not old enough to even open a credit card. When I called and said I think this is fraud, they said I can disregard the letter and hung up. This is a scam.
Scam Alert, received a letter in the mail stating I owed $389, then their added fees bring it to $2800.! I contacted Paypal, they stated it was a scam, advised me to not pay it and don't communicate with them, or give them any information. Those stating it was identity theft were double scammed, now they have your information you provided!
IF YOU ARE SEEING THIS CALL THEM! Someone stole my information and opened up 4 accounts on PayPal! I was able to get it resolved.
Scammers, sent mail to elderly family attempting to collect money claiming collection for transaction from Paypal. Called Paypal customer support who stated that they will work with Law Enforcement to resolve the issue. The Paypal account which was made had nothing but false information, false social security, card numbers that were not in family member's name, and other falsified information.
