I proxy bid in one of their "******************. They cheated me from an item that according to their web site I was the highest bidder on but was "passed" according to their web site. Why would an item be "passed" in an "absolute " auction? When I called them I was informed that the item was sold to a "friend!"

A lot about this statement is untrue. This customer attended one of our equipment auctions online. We also had onsite bidders. He was simply outbid by someone onsite. ******** is a provider we use to facilitate our online portion of our auctions. I dont know why the item showed passed on their site as we do not operate their system. The piece was absolute and it did sell onsite to a bidder in attendance at the auction, not a friend. I can verify from a personal view of American Auctions of Centre, Al. These people have treated me like family. I am an elderly lady who needed help beside the auction of my property all I had to do was called and someone was ready to drive me to my doctor. I have never heard of strangers doing this. Sometimes not even family members.
Attended a recent auction and might be one of the worst run I have been to! There were many red flags when it came to how they conducted business. They definitely cater to preferred buyers. I noticed that when preferred buyers were bidding on an item they would close the bids super quick and offer them the whole allotment if it was for multiple of the same item.
