This was such a pleasant surprise! Went to the beautiful historic building just to look inside. Gorgeous building! We found this little gallery. Wonderful pieces! I don’t know much about this art form, but I found it very interesting and loved looking at the pieces. Had to keep reminding myself they were all wood!!
Wonderful and informative display about woodturning, its history and some of the amazing artwork being created today.
Really robust small gallery with excellently curated exhibition. Visited during the AAW symposium this year and heard a guest speaker from Ireland, Emmet Kane, speak on a show in Ireland and the Irish woodturning history. Really great space exhibiting both contemporary and historically important wood turned art. The staff is exceptionally knowledgeable as well!
Great little gallery show casing wood that has been turned on a lathe along with some very very old lathes on display , some with a fascinating back story. Worth the time to check it out.
Very cool stuff. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in the area.
