This airport is the closest to downtown Washington DC. The location is amazing where it is convenient to take Metro Subway. The airport is kind of small but beautiful with good service, clean facilities, and fast WiFi. The view in the air is impressive along the river to the National Mall. I was feeling the airplane would land on the river. However, there are few restrooms at the Southwest terminal after security checks, so I exited for restrooms and went back doing the security check again.
My first time flying in to here was a fairly good experience. It's a smaller, older complex that was easy to navigate through and wasn't crowded at all. The concourse area has quite a few eateries. Everything is close to each other. My only gripe was that the bags took so long to come out, even for a small airport. We waited about 30 minutes. Not a big deal but just saying.
