Amber Meadow is a wonderful facility. My mom moved into a studio in January of 2025 and the staff were very welcoming. Meals were really good and there were lots of activities available. It is nice that they allow pets. The office staff are very friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately my mom was no longer able to live alone and had to move into longterm care. Very nice building. It’s very clean and appears to be very well run. Very close to many amenities; hospital, doctor office, dental office, Walmart, Shoppers Drugs, DynaCare, and 3 shopping centres. Great, polite staff. It’s just a touch too fancy for this country boy. :)
Amber Meadows is one of the nicer areas in the north end of Winnipeg. It’s quiet, clean, and has a good community feel. Lots of parks and green space around, and everything you need like groceries and shops are just a short drive away. Definitely a solid neighborhood if you’re looking for somewhere calm and family-friendly.
Mom was worried leaving her neighborhood of 70+ years and leaving behind long time friends. She has found a new place and a belonging at Amber Meadows. Mom has made new friends and is involved in activities at the residence and on outings organized by Amber Meadows staff and leadership. The pharmacy and salon are great amenities. The meals are well prepared and a good variety. The Amber Meadows experience has bee great for our family and Mom. Thank you to Jeff, Sharron, Paulo and the entire Amber Meadows team.
