"Arc-rated (AR) and flame-resistant (FR) PPE apparel ARE NOT THE SAME as you stated; furthermore, while all AR clothing is inherently FR, not all FR clothing is AR. The key difference is that AR garments are specifically tested for exposure to an Electric ARC FLASH to determine their protective rating, whereas standard FR clothing is only tested to resist ignition from a flame."
