Aman Spa New York—solid, refined, exactly what you’d expect. This place is well done clean, spacious, and designed with that understated luxury Aman is known for. The massage was on point, no complaints there. My only issue? The music or ambient sound in the massage room. It just didn’t hit the way it should. 2.5 stars Read this if you’re thinking of buying a day pass: I think the spa is only enjoyable if you are a guest or a member. Day pass holders get little access to amenities and each staff member has different information about it. If I’m paying an “access fee” I should have access to more than just the lockers. At similar spa/hotels/members clubs I’ve always had access to their gym but not here.
