Very disappointed with how Alwyndor manages aged care funding. Fees are extremely high, and in one financial year they took 45% of allocated funds just for “administration fees.” That level of charging feels excessive and raises serious concerns about whether funds are being used for actual care where they’re needed most.
Alwyndor have totally mismanaged the transition to the new Aged Care package requirements. Staff knew for a year that the rules were to change, but did nothing, then showed themselves to be incompetent, unprofessional and untruthful. Now that they can only charge 10% for package management, they have hiked up charges to ridiculous levels for basic services, forcing clients to use Alwyndor therapists instead of engaging their own as previously, then forcing clients to have unnecessary assessments - all just to make up for los... read more
we had someone in our family there, they did not care for her as much as she needed. she had dementia and was bed ridden, not enough staff were concerned about the way she was in. the staff were not as friendly as we needed and the food was terrible and she never ate it. not a good place you’re welcome, for my concern
I have sat on this for a year now. I am torn between the highlight of her care. It was either receiving a final statement 1 working day after her passing, with no mention of condolences, or does it go to the R Nurse on shift who said she didnt need a doctor on her last night alive. She was in enormous pain, suffering greatly and the nurse said she couldn't get a doctor tonight, but one could come in 4 days on their usual run. Do not go here they refused help when family was passing and are trying to scam money off of us still a year after she had passed they owe us money and refuse to pay it even tho there is a government note stating that she got scammed and doesn’t need to pay, gave through an invoice a day after the passing and the food was absolutely terrible do not send love ones here
