I am currently a resident of the Alvis House. Personally, this place is toxic for anyone with an addiction and extensive mental health needs. I have a drug addiction and I was coming here in hopes of getting help with both and although it says they have mental health staff here, they don. You have to seek your own help with an outside organization. It says they offer the Vivitrol and suboxone but you also have to seek that outside of here. Advise House sux!!! They don't care about the people that are there. They would rather see someone starve when you sign up for a late dinner tray and it's not there. They offer you a sack lunch which you already had at lunch that day at work. They don't help you with anything, you have to do everything yourself to try to get ahead. They hinder you more than they help. That place is worse than prison. There are so many restrictions on us. I would have rather finished my time in prison than come to this place!

I honestly don't want to give it even one star. I sent them an email to sign up for volunteer work, but they ignored me for a week. It's not worth working at this place.
