I’ve been going to Alternative Groove Board Shop for years and they have always delivered top notch service. They genuinely have your best interest in mind. They even told me where to buy an item they did not have in stock, which says everything about their integrity. I will always support locally owned small businesses, and this one does it right.
All the guys are great and so is the shop but specifically rylan is awesome especially if you’re a skier he is super knowledgeable and friendly, great guy, great place. I am not going anywhere else for gear in nanaimo.

HUGE RAVE to Alternative Groove. It is such a great store! My son and I went in today to grab some snowboarding goggles, 15 mins to close and never felt rushed. The staff, including the owner, were so helpful and knowledgeable. I have been shopping here since my teens and it honestly looks, smells and feels so clean and brand new. They have such a good assortment of apparel ( so organized) and I suggest you check out their sales this weekend. We will be back to do more shopping!! Support local❤️💚 this holiday season.
