I can’t say enough wonderful things about The Altenheim. My mother lived there for 18 months and received exceptional care. Living out of state was difficult, but the staff became like family; always communicating, going above and beyond, and giving me peace of mind. My brother and I toured The Altenheim and it felt much more "homey" to us than any other place we toured. We then got our mother on their waiting list. Once a semi-private room came open she moved in. They were very kind to our mom throughout, kept her warm and accommodated her vegetarian diet. The nurses cured her bed sores (from another facility) and got her up and about every day.
