I tried to get a spare part but got no return phone calls or emails. I looked at the website and, social media but there was no where to leave a complaint. I found a company listed in Companies House which is called Alpine Bikes Limited. I wrote to their Directors but they’re replies denied it was the same company. I’m highly suspicious at my inability to to get an answer to do they have a spare axle for my Alpine Electric Trike or not?
I visited Leicester to have a trial ride on the Explorer - Steve was great, really patient and informative and gave me the confidence I needed to get to know the trike. There was no pressure to commit to a purchase, just concern that I had enough time to know if this was right for me. Once I made the decision, Steve quickly brought the Explorer to my home for me to try again, but also the Commando which I was interested in due to the different pedal assist. Bought my bike in December 2023. Was fine until March 2024 when the power assist stopped working I contacted alpine and 3 weeks later and excuses for what's wrong still not sorted. Bike less than 4 months old, after service terrible
I normally don’t give reviews but I was forced into this. I purchased an Alpine electric trike just over two year’s ago and must admit the trikes are brilliant BUT the after sales help is totally useless. I have been in touch with Alpine for help four times and they’re not interested in helping. It’s like once they get your money don’t bother us, very disappointed with them after spending just under £3k. My advice is go somewhere else.
I have been riding my explorer trike for the last two weeks around South Manchester. I am 75 and will use it partly as a mobility aid because I have arthritis in my knees. It is great for shopping and trips out and about. I have not tested the big tyres yet but I am sure they will be good for tow paths. Gives me lots of independence as well as being good fun!
