The facilities are not well-maintained nor clean, even as the first client of the day. I tried to unsee the issues - hairs in the hot tub, yellowing grout, and single-ply toilet paper - but alas, they overshadowed what was supposed to be a relaxing morning. The sauna was the highlight.
Massage was great! 5 stars for the therapist. The building is old and lacks updates. There is an odd smell inside that reminds me of an old dusty house. The wood panel walls have dust and cobwebs. Again, great massage just hard to relax in that environment.
I love going to Almonte when the world is just too much, and Olga is my absolute favorite. She is an amazing masseuse, and also will clear any difficult energies you may be carrying with her touch, and work with you energetically if you are attuned to that stuff. When I feel overwhelmed by life, she is my remedy. I also love relaxing in the hot tub for half an hour before my massage - Almonte has a great old-school vibe.
Great private Finnish sauna.
