If I could give zero stars I would. The worst financing company you could ever go with. In 2024 I had so many issues with them trying to close my account and pay off my car and I thought it was finally over until this year, (2026) over two years later I am told there was still a random fee on my account that I was never notified about and they couldn’t tell me why it was there just that it needed to be paid in order for it to finally be closed. Save your sanity and go somewhere with competent people.
My experience with Ally Financial has been extremely frustrating and disappointing. I was repeatedly given misinformation by representatives who seemed to lack basic knowledge about my account and options. Each time I contacted customer service, I received different answers, which made it impossible to know what information—if any—was accurate. Illegally reposed my car after I gotten in a car accident in 2024 and it was in a tow pond I was making payments on time. With no balance being past due and informed Ally Auto that my car was in an accident and I’m waiting to get it apprised and instead they paid the fee and stole my car and sold it without my acknowledgment. And now claiming I have a repossession on my background which is wrong and I have documentation showing otherwise. This Company is horrible, I have been asking for fax paper work for a week to where they said it will only take 1 to 2 business days. And all of their customer service is outsourced none in house. They sent my important documents to an 7 year old address. I updated my address with them years before my vehicle finance was finish and yet they still emailed personal documents to 7 year old address.
Worst customer service i have ever encountered. App. Doesn't work pay by fone Doesn't work spent 2 hours trying to pay my bill yesterday. Ridiculous wish someone else would have financed. Like capital one They are much easier. Don't have the time or patience to refinance but it's coming.
