**DO NOT USE ALLY IF YOU VALUE YOUR SECURITY** Just confirmed this on the phone today-- they are blocking those that use VPN services from accessing their website or app! As you hear all the time, to improve your security online (especially using free WiFi in coffee shops), they say to USE A VPN! And yet Ally is now blocking us! After being a 10+ year customer, I'll be moving my money elsewhere. Horribly poor business decision they've made. The security equivalent of a sledgehammer!
The worst
If I could give zero stars and write a review, that would be great. I’ve never called Ally for anything but when I called to pay an outstanding balance, I was not treated like a customer. The reps were rude, no help, and they had no idea who the account belong too etc. although the collection agency I set payments up with is still collecting. This company over charges, double charges, and gives you a different story for everyone you speak with.. I’m kind of glad my car was totaled out so I don’t have to deal with them but I’m still being charged for some reason and I can’t get a straight answer. The banking system is cool but the auto financial system seems fraudulent for the fact I keep getting wrong information from everyone!! Can this company please get all on the same page?!!
