Great Experience!! We did a full service move, we packed our boxes, moving team handled all the furniture and big stuff. Very professional team, packed the truck tightly, and made sure our "top load/fragile boxes" were in the right places. They protected our homes at each end of the move. Everything was good other than the initial quote. We went with Allied because of the price guarantee. Not exactly a guarantee. The person that came to our house and walked through and saw everything under quoted the amount of boxes and packing material by more than half. We were more than double over his estimate then suddenly “we are so sorry but it’s going to cost more”. So don’t trust the cost guarantee. It will definitely be more than they quote. The truck driver was a delightful, patient person. I couldn't get into my new home because closing was delayed and he patiently waited while we found a solution the get inside and allow him to unload. Donald was his name.
Estimator drastically underestimated my household and I ended up paying an extra $11k for their mistake.
We believe we received very good service in Chesterfield. Our Coordinator, Melissa was outstanding on every level. Her communication and follow up were very good. Andre, our packer was very good. He was efficient and skilled. Jason and his crew of three were careful and handled our belongings with the utmost skill. The only reason for 3/5 stars and not the 10/5 stars they deserve is because we contracted for a door to door move from Va to Co.
