Dont let them intimidate you or pressure you. That shouldve been my first and only red flag. They don't tell you about all the fees and the money you will lose if you decide to cancel in the first 5 years, so if you sign up, you MUST be committed. And logging in online was a pain. You have no control over your own information so everything is over the phone. After 2 years, putting all that money into it, I get zero back today, and let me tell you, I went in person and told them I wanted to cancel, and they couldn't care less... read more
Here’s an insiders take since I helped run this company in Killeen/Ft Hold and unfortunately fell for the same tricks. Their primary tactic is to hit soldiers with promises of “free giveaways” to get your contact info to try and sell life insurance that the vast majority of military DO NOT need. Just sit there and listen for the 2-3 hour long “meeting” and you too may inevitably be pitched a universal life insurance policy from Trans World Assurance (who has terrible reviews themselves) and a $25 “membership” which is actual... read more
Scammers for privates in the military, take it from personal experience. Nothing more than advertisers for a parent company thats a "cash life insurance" company. They reel in with useful info. Then they make you feel really stupid about what you dont know and try to make you feel smart again about what you should do. Sales tactics is all. Its impossible to get your money unless you cancel your plan and even still wont get what you paid into
I would strongly advise against using this service, as it appears to be nothing more than a scam. Despite their claims of helping to fight identity theft on their website, they themselves seem to be involved in some very shady practices. One of the companies they work with has been banned from Georgia(transworld assurance), which is a huge red flag. When I called to find out about my account, I was told that I didn't even have one with them. So... where is the money you're taking out every month going towards? The only reaso... read more
If you are currently at Ft. Bliss do NOT sign up for the savings plan they’ll tell you you can withdraw the funds from it in two years, and when that two year mark comes you will be hit with a surrender fee that costs around 1500 initially, it will go down over the years but if you need access to your funds immediately you’re going to pay more for the surrender fee versus what you’ll actually receive! So stay far away and do NOT sign up unless you have 5 years you don’t mind waiting to get access to all of your capital!
