This credit union has continually used unacceptable accounting practices. They charge overdraft fees on pending transaction ( illegal) then if you only use debit card they approve transactions so they can then say overdraft and charge fees insanity!
Been with ACU for probably 20+ years it use to be owned by the members now it's gone corporate. Had 4 auto loans through them. Never missed a payment I switched insurance companies after 10 years they added their own insurance to my remaining truck balance. Owed $18000 now $21000. I've sent the declaration page to Allegan and Gobles locations. They said it may take 2 weeks or months before it's removed. Use to good but has slowly been going down hill. You cannot get them directly you have to go thru call center and then if they think you need to speak to the branch they will transfer or have someone call you. And it seems like they close at every holiday they can, they didn't use to do that. Who else gets 2 days off for Martin Luther King Day?
Up until today I would have given my credit union 5 stars...but with all of these mergers we are losing services. I went to open an IRA today and was told as of July 1, due to the merger, they were no longer opening new IRA'S. Seriously? Now I have to go to a BANK instead of my credit union to open one. How does that make sense to anyone? Apparently these mergers aren't all they're cracked up to be...
There’s no customer service at all. Nobody answers the phone and if you choose the option for call back, you won’t get that either. I’ve tried to call to talk to a manager everyday this week at different hours of the day hoping to get a call or connected and still haven’t been able to get through. I don’t recommend this credit union to anyone at all.
