I scheduled an appointment online and it allowed me to schedule something for 8:30 a.m. in the morning which is actually before the shop opens. When I showed up the door was locked and it was unable to actually have my appointment. This seems to be an error through the website that allows you to book even if the store is not open. Posting here in the hopes that it helps somebody else. I can't speak to the service of Allen's. The reviews are all positive, but obviously this was not a great experience for me.
It was an honor and a privilege to meet The Man, The Myth, The Legend himself Mr. Allan. Mr. Allan still looks really good after all these years (35 to be exact). I came in to rent a tuxedo for my 50th Birthday Party on Monday. The party was on July 4th weekend and he had my tuxedo ready to go on Wednesday. From the moment I walked in, I received 5 Star service. I did not get his name, but he was kind, informative and very helpful. I also ordered the suit on Monday was able to get on Thursday, I loved the quick turn around. They had a wide variety of suits to choose from which was helpful. The best part of it all was they were very AFFORDABLE!!! Blazer, pants, shirt, cummerbund, bow tie, and shoes ALL FOR $175, you will not find a better deal.
I have rode by this shop for 10 years! The time has finally come for my son to need a tux. This shop has an abundance of styles and colors! Allan was super knowledgeable and very efficient. When I mentioned it was for a prom it turned out to be HIS high school alma mater. We had a lovely conversation and I was very impressed with his legacy business status. I highly recommend going here you will not be disappointed.
These gentleman are great and extremely professional. One of my sons are getting married this month (August 24th 2018) and Allens formal wear provided me and my 5 boys (14-35) with excellent service. I highly recommend them for any and all of your formal wear needs. Much thanks to the entire Allan's Formal wear team.
