I was disappointed with the firm’s handling of personal information. Despite multiple clear requests to use their secure portal or encrypted email addresses, the staff repeatedly sent personal tax documents to unsecured email addresses, pushed back, and even dismissed my concerns when I asked them to use safer methods. Praise for the office of Alicia Sisk-Morris. My home, belongings, and entire property were all completely washed away -gone- by the Helene Hurricane. Having to deal with the emotional concept of being homeless, with nothing left but the clothes on my back, plus all the confusing paperwork and daily e-mails from "help" organizations...there was no way I could have figured out the IRS tax forms for this 2024 disaster year. Prior to making a decision about whether to return to this business for a tax filing, I called the office and specifically asked whether there had been a rate increase over the previous year. Rather than answer the question directly, the office told me that I could expect a fee "right around [last year's]." I found out only after the taxes were done that there had been an adjustment "...to account for increases in operating costs and cost of living..."
