I brought my e-mountain bike, comparable to a Giant Talon E+, in to have the fork replaced. The mechanic was friendly, knowledgeable, and pleasant to deal with. However, when I picked up the bike, I was surprised to find a 50% surcharge added because it was an e-bike. I was told the additional fee was due to the bike being heavier and more difficult to move around the shop. Top-notch service from start to finish! My new bike from ABC rides like a dream, and I couldn't be happier with it. The staff make you feel like a longtime customer from the moment you walk in, and they're always friendly, knowledgeable, and happy to help. When it's time for adjustments or maintenance, they do excellent work and make sure everything is dialed in perfectly. Algoma Bicycle Co. is an outstanding choice for bike sales, repairs, and customer service. I highly recommend them!
Fun and friendly place. They even suggested other bicycle shops when they did not carry what I was looking for (used parts) They've given my bikes a quick once over to point out problems. Couldn't be happier with their service. I buy my parts and supplies there because if I don't soon there would be no local bike shop. The best thing...it is a ten minute walk when my bike won't take me. They *LOVE* bikes.
the owner was very helpful with directions, trail maps, and suggestions on what trails to ride, far exceeded my expectations. They also inspected my bicycle and supplied a in-stock part, well done Algoma, thank you again!
