One star is definitely the most I could give this establishment.. in Short. DIRTY, gross establishment with unqualified staff and out of date dresses. I found two dresses that were decent enough to like and take pictures of to look at later. But the store was disgusting, it smelled terrible, the floors were dirty, the dresses were dirty, they make you wear their slips under the dresses and those were dirty.. some of the dresses I tried on were fraying and damaged. I give this business 1 star, and that is only because I have to. I am bridesmaid, and the bride chose this business for us to try on dresses. The initial visit was welcoming and they were very helpful. After picking our dresses we had an allotted amount of time to pay for our dresses. Prior to the due date of payment, I received 4 phone calls telling me I need to come pay for my dress. I told them 4 times when I would be in to pay for my dress and every time they claimed they would note it on the account so I would not recei... read more
I went in for an appointment to look at wedding gowns, flower girl dresses, and bridesmaids. When I first walked in I was greeted by a woman at the front desk who asked me not one question. Then, as I start browsing...another lady comes up to me and tells me she was the one that I spoke with on the phone. The lady from behind the desk came up to us and told her that "I was on a budget" and acted as if I was nothing because I told her I habe a bug etc once I walked in the store. Alfred Angelo in Shreveport has wonderful staff who are very eager to find you the perfect dress! I was greeted by Kayce who had a bubbly and genuine personality and was able to find the styles of dresses that I liked and made sure to stay within my price range. Kayce not only was friendly, but made my time there fun! She was hilarious and funny and made all of my family laugh while we were there. Ask for Kayce if you happen to be going there, because she will find the dress that fits you best!
If I could give less than 1 star I would. My matron of honor and I spent about an hour trying on dresses before I found the perfect one. The sales rep mentioned that since all of the dresses are made specifically for each order that I should place my order as soon as possible to make sure I would have it in time for my Nov 11 wedding. Needless to say her intense sales pressure (really her overwhelming push to get the commission) worked because I came back the very next day to place my order. Awesome helpful staff. Wide selection, clean and safe environment!
I would have given zero stars, but I could not post a review without giving at least one. I was very pleased with the way I was treated while shopping for a gown with my Maid of Honor. However, I was disappointed when the day came to pick up the dress. I called the store to check on the dresss arrival and left my number because the girl working was alone in the store and did not know how to pull up my information in the computer.
