I was overdue with paying my car tax. The notice sent to me at the end of Sept. said I owed about $691. They put me into collections so I could not pay anything thru the city website. It took about about 2 weeks to receive a notice from collections; I promptly paid the bill when the request arrived. The collections agency needed prodding to either notify the city and/or send it over; it took about 15 days for it to be applied. This is a scam. This is not a real government tax office. They are trying to steal your identity.
Told them last year I moved and still sent me a bill. Who ever runs this place should be fired.
Customer service is fantastic; I'm just a bit confused about how much vehicle tax they charge, yet the roads are garbage. I swear I thought my engine fell off from how deep the whole on N Henry St. They really need to be audited!!
